FLOPPY USERS
You can simply run COMTRAC from one floppy. Type in "co" to run.
NOTE:
If the HELP screens do not come up, make sure that "FILES=20" is
set in your "config.sys" file. If you don't know what a
"config.sys" file is, consult your DOS manual or local DOS guru.
If you don't have a "true" IBM compatible and the intro screen
doesn't appear. Try to reboot your system and enter
"SET BIOS=1" at the DOS prompt before running COMTRAC.
FEATURES:
Mail/merge functions - create form letters, rolodex cards, envelopes,
one-up mailing labels with an ASCII text editor or using the ASCII text
facility of your favorite word processor.
Autodial - COMTRAC will dial the phone for you if you have a modem
connected to a phone handset.
Phone call logging - COMTRAC will keep a history of the last 15 calls

DO's and DONT'S
Be sure to make regular backups of the data files. If you don't
know how to make backups, refer to the BACKUP program in your
DOS documentation.
Do NOT exit COMTRAC by shutting off the power. Please exit the program
"gracefully" by pressing ESC until the 'Exit Menu?' question comes up.
Do NOT modify the help file. If you do, COMTRAC will become confused
when asked for help. Incorrect help is worse than no help at all.
Do have fun with the program. Most questions can be answered by trying
in out on the system.
COMTRAC REGISTRATION
To register call toll free (800) 628-2828 extension 581 or
mail a check for $30 plus $5 shipping/handling to:
Ed Trujillo
P.O. Box 23052
Albuquerque, NM 87192-1052
Operators are available 24 hours a day for orders only. For
information contact Ed Trujillo at the above PO box. All
orders sent by UPS.
Registration entitles you to the following:
o one update disk (5 1/4 only)
o notification of new updates/products
o ASCII import program
o calendar generating program
o limited telephone support
The calendar generating program, COMCAL, combines all
REMINDERS for all contacts in a file system and prints
them neatly under a monthly calendar suitable for posting.
In addition to COMTRAC, I have also developed the following
products :
CONTACT - Contact tracking system very similar to COMTRAC
except the emphasis is on keeping track of people
instead of companies, products etc.
$30 registration fee
PERINV - Personal inventory system. Keeps track of items in
the household for insurance purposes. $10 donation
PHONEMSG - Phone message TSR for secretaries. Displays a popup
window similar to the "While You Were Out" message
pads. Allows the later retrieval of messages for
each individual. $10 donation
VMSYS - Vehicle maintenance system. Keeps track of gas
receipts, oil changes and repairs. Data is presented
in a 13 month bar chart format and scheduled
services are "predicted" based on average miles
driven per day. $35 registration fee
VMSYS+ - Vehicle maintenance system professional . Similar to
VMSYS but additionally records mileage logs for tax
purposes. A working demo will appear on the bulletin
boards shortly. Price not set.
All programs are located in different bulletin boards across
the country especially ones in Albuquerque. If you have problems
locating them let me know.
You can reach me on on Compuserve 73700,277 or GEnie at
E.TRUJILLO as well as the PO Box if you have questions.
Unfortunately, the operators on the 800 number cannot
answer questions.
Enjoy,
Ed (1 May 88)
